THE FIRST HEARTBEAT OF THE MAISON
When the earth whispered our name…
It all began in my native Catamarca, Argentina, in my parents’ small shop, called “Almacén del Asador”. It was a magical place, filled with the scent of wood and ceramics; a space where people came to buy handcrafted objects, but also where connections were made and stories were shared. My teenage years were shaped by this world of craftsmanship, which came to life during our family gatherings around the asado.
I remember those journeys with my parents and my brothers and sisters, in search of stories and handcrafted pieces. Every encounter was an adventure, every object a surprise, carrying a living story passed down from generation to generation, shaped from the materials that Pachamama, our Mother Earth, so generously gave us. These experiences were always accompanied by the pure, breathtaking beauty of our landscape, a source of inspiration and peace.
Our family retreat was “El Chorro”, in Ancasti. Our weekend home, perched in the mountains, was filled with crafts inspired by pre-Columbian peoples, which we used naturally in our everyday lives, as though these objects were part of us. In our family, ceramics are part of our identity. Each piece had its own charm; the colours, the patterns — everything fascinated me endlessly.
Over time, the family shop eventually closed its doors. But the seed of craftsmanship had already taken root, both within my family and within me. Today, my mother and my younger sister carry on this heritage with “Flor del Aire Catamarca”, while I continue what we began through “ORÍGENES Art et Artisanat”.
For me, it is a way of sharing the beauty and cultural richness of Catamarca with the world, and bringing some of the talent and passion of Argentine artisans here to France. It is a way of building a bridge between my adopted home and my much-loved homeland.

Our mission is o share the richness of our culture by celebrating the unique savoir-faire of Catamarca’s artisans through handcrafted pieces imbued with tradition and emotion. We are committed to preserving the cultural and natural heritage f our landwhile supporting environmentally respectful production. At the same time, we seek to foster local trade y building lasting connections between artisans and the wider world, through a fair, ethical and responsible approach..
